Keith Haring
An amazingly unique style of art.
Keith stared out by tagging black boards in the New York subway
stations. Keith had an amazing way of getting his message across with
quirky characters and line drawings.
Tagging in the subway taught him to be quick on his feet; so quick it boggles the mind! The photo to the left shows Keith standing in his New York "Pop Shop" witch he painted in only 15 minutes! I saw a video of do it once and it was amazing, it is totally improvisational. Keith Haring died of AIDS related complications at the age of 31 on February 16, 1990. The Pop Shop in New York stayed open untill September 2005.
When I talk about Keith no one has any idea who im talking about, but when they see his art they are like "I know that" hes the most famous artist you never knew. Heck, the man even painted the Berlin wall! Not to mention coined the term "Crack is Wack!"
